The year was 1998 and Sari Pohjola was living in Rovaniemi with her husband and their 3-year old daughter. Sari had been drawing and painting all her life and then and there she decided to make her dream come true, so she founded Sari’s ArtWork to start to make a living out of her art.

First when she started she would paint all the cards by hand - each and every one. But that became impossible very soon because as the business grew, so did the number of greeting cards produced. So she found a printing house that started to print her designs.

Soon she had over 200 different designs for all kinds of life’s occations (such as the birth of a child, graduation, wedding, moving to a new home, birthday, etc.)
